It has been a long-term goal of the program for the history book shared with every Panther at the conclusion of the year to make its way online to Sniderfootball.org. It’s finally here! All the records pages have been updated with this year’s statistics, and the award pages have been updated with the recipients for this year as well.

National Signing Day, Congrats Jose!

February 1st, 2012 was National Signing Day for NCAA Football. National Signing Day is the first day that official NCAA National Letters of Intent may be received by college football programs.

Jose Flores (6″9″, 285#) signed his letter of intent to attend Indiana State University in Terre Haute and join former Snider player Dillon Painter on the Sycamore’s Division One (FCS) football team.  Indiana State is adding 27 players to its roster this fall including 11 from Indiana.

Jose’s future offensive line coach at ISU, Harold Etheridge, commented on Jose and his recruitment to Indiana State:

“…I was very impressed with Jose on his visit, by the way he took care of his mother, while on the visit due to her back injury, it show the type of character he has…I am [also] impressed with his academic background, knowing that he has the traits to come here and be a good student athlete…[in regards to football], I am impressed with his size and his frame, knowing that with a good meal plan and weight lifting routine he will become a big boy; also [I] was impressed with his playing ability, [and I] liked his flexibility and athletic ability for a big guy, knowing that his best football is ahead of him.”
