Sectional Opponent hires new head coach
Huntington North football has a new leader, Trent Fine. From WANE:
On Monday night the school board approved Trent Fine as the new head football coach at Huntington North high school.
Fine comes to Huntington North from Monroe Central. He went 3-16 with the Golden Bears.
Fine will fill the shoes of Rief Gilg. This past November Gilg stepped down after eight years as the head football coach at Huntington North. Gilg stepped down to spend more time with his family, including his young son.
In eight seasons under Gilg the Vikings went 51-32. That includes a 5-5 mark this past fall that saw HNHS go 5-2 in NCC play.
Gilg remains at the school as the Dean of Students
